Discrepancy in decoding Siribhuvalaya Chakras

There is a belief that Siribhuvalaya named ancient Kannada literature is completely written by filling the numbers from 1-64 in 27x27 matrix. Like this there were 16000 matrices written by Kumudendu Muni & his disciples as claimed by previous scholars. After initial publication of Siribhoovalaya book in 1953, many scholars started decoding it by applying Chakra Bandha or Shredi Bandha. Is this the way Kumudendu Muni filled the knowledge? Is it the right way to explore further literature? Let us discuss.

Let us consider the first Chakra which happens to be a 27x27 matrix:-

One has to traverse this input matrix by applying any pattern which can produce meaningful literature out of it. So there is a claim that somebody found out the following path matrix to decode meaningful poems out of it:-

So you will get 27x27 = 729 numbers which has to be mapped to 64 Indian alphabets corresponding to 1-64 numbers. This can be generated easily by any computer program or even writing it manually. Let us arrange the deciphered letters again in a 27x27 matrix which has to be read row-wise:-

You have to read the above matrix in row-wise, by joining them according to the rules of Kannada phonetics. Remember that there is no punctuation marks like comma or full-stop anywhere in the matrix. First question is where to end the sentence and where to start the new one?

Answer is simple. Unless you are familiar with the type of the literature originating from this collection of letters, you will be left with a vast collection of words covering all 729 letters.

As this is the first matrix and many people know the literature generated from this, they could read it with very less effort. As you proceed further in deciphering the Chakras beyond 34th Chapter, you will be left with letters or words which doesn't give any meaning. So what is the mystery here?

Logical brainstorming says that unless you have a ready reckoner literature  in hand, you can't decipher and rearrange the text to get meaningful literature out of the Chakras. Even logic says that if the numerical matrix generates literature in any language, then the matrix should have been prepared by having the literature in hand. So there exists "Akshara-Bhuvalaya" means poetry having proper punctuation marks and also "Anka-Chakras" means the Chakras or numerical matrices which were encoded based on well churned literature in hand. To encode this, Kumudendu Muni has used 6000 grammatical, poetic and mathematical formulas.

So if you have "Akshara-Bhuvalaya" in hand, you can join the letters properly. Arranging the combined letters (Samyuktakshara) and placing them in 27x27 matrix reduces the number of letters approximately to 50%. Example is shown below:-

You can observe that, there are only 357 letters remaining after combining 729 letters. Now, where to start and where to end? It doesn't follow any regular Chandas (fixed character pattern). This also validates that unless you have a literature in hand, you can separate the poems. As we know the literature from Akshara-Bhuvalaya, we can segregate it as follows:-

New kannada poem starts at the highlighted letters in the above table. You can observe the irregular gaps at the end of each poem as Muni has not used any Akshra-Gana but has applied Shabda-Gana or Shagana-Paddhati. It means, poems are not in fixed number of letter count rule but word count rule which eases to sing it in a particular style called as "Saangatya".

Another point to be noted is that in the published book during 1953 they have demonstrated that joining the first letters in the rearranged poems generates a poem in "Prakrit" language. Here it is "अट्टविह कम् ...." । One discrepancy here is that the last stanza doesn't belong to this series. Then how to relate and rearrange it to the next Chakra? Only if you are aware of the literature.

There is one more internal poem claimed to be generated in Sanskrit by reading 27th letter in every poem. If you collect the 27th letters from initial output of Aksharas deciphered from Bandha, it reads as "इ इ म् उ अ इ एा न् व् व् अ न् इ ह् स् अ ळ अ ए क् र् अ अ द् ए भ् उ". If you join the letters: "इ इ मु अ इ एा न् व् व नि ह् स ळ ए क् र अ दे भु" which is meaningless in both forward and reverse traversals.

Now let us collect the 27th letters of output of combined Aksharas leading to poems as shown in above diagram. It gives "न्ग का र व क ला स" which is again meaningless. But the publishers have given star mark to the letters near to 27th one and shown the emerging of the famous Sanskrit verse "ऒकारं बिन्दु सम्युक्तम् नित्यं ध्यायन्ति यॊगिनः ...."| How they got it? It is just copied from the reference literature named "Akshara-Bhoovalaya" present with them. To get this output as intermediate letters, we have to again rearrange the above shloka table as follows:-

Join the highlighted letters in the above table to get "ऒकारम् बिन्दु" in first Chakra. But there is no where any kind of mathematical pattern visible in deriving this. By seeing above table, interested layman can also make out that, shlokas and padyas cannot be derived properly from the Chakras without the reference guide known as "Akshara-Bhuvalaya". So reality is that there existed both "Akshara-Bhoovalaya" and "Anka-Bhoovalaya" in parallel which were prepared by Kumudendu Muni himself. It is evident from his own saying that "सुविशाल पत्रदक्षर भूवलयके नमिपे" means "I salute to the Akshara-Bhoovalaya written in long leaves (palm leaves)". Each palm leaf had Poorna Padyas (long poems) in front side & Paada Padyas (short poems) in the back side of palm leaf. There is an evidence that Siribhuvala existed even before Kumudendu Muni encoded it in his new way. "कुमुलब्बे रचिसि रक्षिसिद काव्य भूवलय" means Kumulabbe did the construction and preservation of Siribhoovalaya. We get evidences that Kumudabbe (may be Kumulabbe) was the goddess.

Historical evidences also substantiate this. Kumudendu Muni belongs to Ganga family. If we traverse back to the period of Mahabharata, Bhishma was called as Gaangeya. So Ganga Vamsha appears to be very old.

A single inscription found at Kalbhavi in Sampgaum taluk (modem Bailhongal taluk) is assigned to the middle of the 11th century A.D. on grounds of paleography. This inscription is a copy of an earlier record probably of 848 A.D. issued during the reign of King Amoghavarsha-I. It states that Ganga mahamandalesvara Saigotta Permmanadi Sivamara-II constructed a Jain temple at Kumudavada and donated land to it. Later (c.mid of 11th century A.D.) this grant was restored by Ganga mahamandalesvara Kancharasa. While defining the boundary of the land, a reference is made to the temple of Kumudabbe, the village goddess. It appears that the village Kumudavada was named after this deity or vice versa. So don't be fooled and fool the people in the name of improper Chakras and improper methods of deciphering Siribhuvalaya. There are some people & publications who have been cheating the society by misleading the really interested scholars from Siribhuvalaya by terrifying and projecting it as something like an horror movie. Come out of the illusions and apply logical, mathematical & scientific methods to decode the poems.

Don't reinvent the wheel! Also don't act that you have reinvented the wheel!! Already Mr. Sudharthy from Hassan has derived all possible inner poems from the "Akshara Bhoovalaya" covering 1-59 Chapters from first Khanda of the Siribhoovalaya.

I will be the happiest person to see my logical proof given here is disproved. Even after providing this logical proof if you don't agree, you will waste your valuable time and money. Think in other dimensions also. That's why it is said that in Brahmi language that "विविधा ध्यासतॆ इति विध्या" ||

With my students, I have spent my valuable time carrying out Computer Science projects related to Siribhoovalaya applying advanced algorithms, parallel processing, super computing, different pattern recognition techniques, etc.,

I appreciate the work done by Sri. Anil Kumar Jain in writing Small Basic Programs. His efforts in writing program, making both source code and input Chakras as open source in his website http://siri-bhoovalaya.org/chakra-data-files/. As typing the Chakras manually is a tedious job, this helps the researchers to utilize the Chakras and verify the artificial mystery created around Siribhuvalaya. Being a non-kannadiga he has dedicated his valuable time to attempt to decipher and publicize his works.

In this regards the people who possess the original Chakras or Akshara-Bhuvalaya or any special materials related to Siribhuvalaya should put it in public domain. It will give an opportunity to everyone to work and verify the importance of Siribhuvalaya transparently. Suggestion to people who are hiding the original materials is that now the average expectancy of Indian human beings according to the 2012 census is 66.21 years. So even if you start interpreting Siribhuvalaya it would require several lives to decode everything out of it. And after death you can't carry your hidden materials to next life. How much time physical materials like paper can be protected from insect, fungus, fire, water, moisture, thieves, etc.,? If a bundle of papers is found useless or deteriorated, it will be just destroyed or given to scrap for recycling. If you possess materials of first Khanda covering 1-59 chapters and even now you are hiding, its utterly a waste of space. Because Sri Sudharthyji has published all the remaining materials upto 59th Chapter including all possible inner poems.

After all these I would like to suggest other researchers that don't just be in the illusion that you can decipher something from Siribhoovalaya only by Computer techniques. Computer is just a tool, but your brain has to work tremendously to decipher the Siriboovalaya.  Basic theory of Computer Science says that you can't program something which doesn't have some logic or some pattern or some mathematical formula. A totally random process with high degree of variation may gradually fall towards NP-Hard problems.

There are some people who are expert in plagiarism. They are planning to copy other's works. They are demonstrating it to Government & foreign agencies just to fetch funding. Remember one thing that you can't achieve anything by plagiarism. Put some sincere efforts to bring out purposefully hidden parts of Siribhuvalaya. Then work on it to show its power to different languages in the world.

I am writing this article to create awareness among Indian citizens speaking different languages. Siribhuvalaya decodes in 718 different languages but in its own mathematical limits. Learning Kannada is a must to explore further. If you get any materials about Khandas 2-9, it has to be verified further. Don't go with the sayings that there are 40 bandhas (deciphering techniques) which can be applied to all the Chakras. It is not the way. 40 bandhas cover all the 16000 Chakras in a non-overlapping format. Other bandhas can be applied only on text available in next Khandas.

Remember that even after getting the poems in different languages, one has to interpret it properly. Which again becomes a scholarly work. Siribhuvalaya subject matter is versatile. You must be the master of languages and expertise in different subjects. Finally you should be generous, spiritual, not money minded, not prejudiced and have "Shraddha" & "Bhakti" on Siribhoovalaya to understand it. You should not have reserved mindset of particular religion. Because Siribhoovalaya claims equality among 363 different religions. Humanity & integrity is the essence of Siribhoovalaya.

  1. Are there not some Universities globally applying High technology in deciphering such ancient works? Can you take help from them and introduce them to our Universities and Oriental Institutes in helping further research on the subject.?

    1. I have not come across any such universities working on Siribhuvalaya or deciphering real ancient Mathematical mysteries. 1953 was its first publication. Till date hardly people have attempted to decipher it. Karlamangalam Shrikantaih was first and Sudharthy Hassan is second one to publish their findings in non-prejudised manner. Universities wan't job and money oriented subject matters. I am a simple researcher publishing my results online without any monetary gains. Even though adroits of Kannada Saahitya loka knew Siribhuvalaya, why they are not taking any research on it? Even after Prof. Venkatasubbaiyya wrote preface for Sudharthyji's book saying that Siribhuvalaya is the ultimate Epic of Kannada literature, other researchers are not looking towards Siribhuvaalaya in open mindset. Only very few great souls of Kannada like Prof. Venkatasubbaiyya attempted to write few words on it openly. Because they have understood the real essence of Siribhuvalaya. I don't want to mention the names but what the Kannada universities are doing in the name of Phd's. The height of Kannada research stupity has reached its ultimatum that creamy layer scholars started dropping existing letters from Kannada alphabets. Kumudendu Muni has proposed accurate 64 letters which are basis of all languages. Thats why it is Sarvabhaashamayi bhaasha. Siribhuvalaya doesn't follow regular Mathematical pattern. So it cannot be deciphered by computer techniques. Short answer for your query is that modern day research is commercial one. Researchers choose topics which are easy and led towards successful doctral thesis. Another reason is that Kumudendu Muni is like a rebel. He discusses every topic openly without any caste or creed discrimination. This won't taste good for people having rigid religious mindset. Siribhuvalaya is the path towards attaining eternal truth in spiritual way. People doesn't want spirituality, but only worldly benefits. Almost all top Kannada researchers knew this truth. Vastness, toughness and vividity involved in Siribhuvalaya made it purposefully sidelined. So suggestion is to study it properly by Sudharthyji's books and take independent research. Siribhuvalaya research doesn't require any money. Only time, patience, concentration, spirituality and various ancient subject knowledge is required.
