CURRICULUM VITAE OF Dr. Pallathadka KESHAVA BHAT (Dr. P. Keshava Bhat)

Born in Pallathadka (January 3, 1940 – July 25, 2010), South India. He was brought up in constant touch with natural life by his parents, Pallathadka Subraya Bhat and Lakshmi Amma. He was married to Devaki and has four children, all born in Cumaná, Venezuela.

Graduated from the Madras University in B.Sc ( 1959 ), M.Sc (1961) and Ph.D in Botany (1966)

Worked as a Research Assistant in Presidency College, Madras (1966-1968) and obtained the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (C.S.I.R) senior fellowship in 1968-1969.

Worked as a Senior Professor at the Universidad de Oriente, in Cumaná, Venezuela from 1969 to 1987 teaching Botany at both under graduate and post graduate levels.

In addition to the large number of scientific papers presented both at national and international levels, he has authored the following books.

Dr .Bhat was an Ethnobotanist promoting Natural Health Reeducation Movement. He has been teaching and training people on his philosophy in different countries around the world. (Venezuela, Perú , Colombia, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Mexico, Bolivia, Guadaloupe, United States, Canada, France, Spain, Italy and India. )

Was elected as a member of the committee of experts in medicinal plants of developing countries during the first congress on medicinal plants held at Arusha, Tanzania in 1990. This event was jointly sponsored by the World Health Organization, South commission and the Government of Tanzania.

Participated in the Earth Summit held at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in June 1992.

Presented papers at the International conference on Nutrition and Health held at Rome, Italy in December 1992.

Presented papers at the International conference on Medicinal Plants held at Bangalore, India in February 1998.

He was thinking that the only solution to combat the prevailing health problems in the world, especially in the developing tropical countries is by means of self sufficiency, proper education, correct utilization of the existing natural resources and by implementing adequate change in living habits .

In the year 1999 after celebrating 30 years of the reeducation movement in Venezuela , the govt of Venezuela through its establishments at Puerto Ordaz kept at my disposal 1160 hectares of Tropical Rain Forests on the banks of the Orinoco river at Delta Amacuro state . The main purpose was to develop a sustainable village model for tropical forests around the world , without damaging the natural resources . Sustainable agriculture, controlled ecotourism , health villages , alternate energy generation with sustainable technology and integrated education system were projected .
In the year 2001 the project had to be abandoned due to the absence of human resources to carry on the activities.


Established in 1979 at Cumana , Sucre state , Venezuela.

A collection of 170 tropical plants , most of them considered as weeds in the agricultural science is grown for educational purposes and maintained . Regular short term workshops on sustainable agriculture , nutrition , astrophysics , health and diseases , yoga, garment making are held. Free orientation on health and nutrition is given to the general public and the community every week . Trained people work on similar lines all over Venezuela and in about 18 other countries based on the proposed system .

FUNDAVIME , a foundation registered in 1989 started functioning to promote, publish, conduct international and national seminars and workshops to demonstrate the sustainability of this method.

Sustainable farms are maintained on the same principles in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Colombia and other countries. Other centers are being arranged progressively .

Efforts are made to establish an open University to promote all the ideas related to this movement .

Proposed future projects

I personally feel a need to establish a New Science Research Institute in India to train at least 10 experts each in the following aspects of dynamic science:

1 . Astrophysics

Shape and orbits of planets, space travel, climate, ozone layer, hurricanes, sea level, origin and flow of rivers and many more related interesting topics.

2. Health and Nutrition :

Treatment for tropical diseases like Leishmaniasis cutanea , Diabetes, Cancer, Allergies, Asthma, Psoriasis, Vitiligo, Multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons disease, Alscheimers disease, AIDS, Heart attack, Cerebro vascular accident, all kinds of Gastrointestinal disorders etc., with local and natural resources.

3. Health care combined with ecotourism

4. Ethnobotany (Classical Phytochemistry not used )

5. Botany ( With a totally different perspective)

6. Sustainable Agriculture, Nutrition, Art of cooking and eating healthy food.

7. Life sciences and yoga ; Material Sciences.

8. Soft technology to obtain sustainable energy, clean air and water.

9. Dynamic science, Philosophy on science and think tank

10. Integral Education

New literature to support these lines of thought is under preparation. About 500 pages of manuscripts is ready for publication shortly.

Before his death, Dr. Bhat is engaged in conducting seminars and workshops in several tropical countries in and around the Caribbean coast.

#SiriBhuvalaya [#Siribhoovalaya] - Highly Alpha-Numeric Maths in Kannada

SiriBhuvalaya / Siribhoovalaya [ಸಿರಿಭೂವಲಯ / सिरिभूवलय] is a Grantha reformed by Kumudendu Muni near 1275 A.D. His Guru Parampara is like this: " Prathama Ganadhara, Vrushabha Sena, Kesari Sena, Vajra Chamara, Charu Sena, Vajra Sena, Adatta Sena, Jalaja Sena, Datta Sena, Vidarbha Sena, Naaga Sena, Kunthu Sena, Dharma Sena, Mandara Sena, Jaya Sena, Saddharma Sena, Chakra Bandha, Swayambhoo Sena, Kumbha Sena, Vishaala Sena, Malli Sena, Soma Sena, Varadatta Muni, SwayampraBharati, IndraBhuti Vipra 24 mainly", then "Vayu Bhuti, Agni Bhuti, Sudharma Sena, Arya Sena, Mundi Putra, Maitreyi Sena, Akampana Sena, Andhara Guru", lastly "PrabhaavaSena named HaraShivaShankara Ganitajna" who wins Vaakhyartha Gosti in Vaaranasi and creates an epic named "Paahuda" & gets the Ganadhara award. He says his Vamshavali as "Sena Guna - Jnatavamsha - Saddharma Gotra - Shri Vrushabha Sutra - Drvyaanga ShaaKe - Ikshwaaku Vamsha".

Being from a Jaina tradition he proudly announces that starting from Adi Teerthankara VrushabhaDeva's Ganadhara named "Vrushabha Sena", all Ganadharas are "Kannadigaas". There was a thought that collective information of Divya Vaanis from all the Teerthankara's should be available for all. On rigorous analysis, they found that only Kannada has the power to encode those Divya Vaani! He quotes it as "SarvaBhaashamayee Karmaata Kavya".

History of Siribhoovalaya

Adi Teerthankara Vrushabha had two daughters. At the time of his liberation from the worldly body, gives Sakala Saamraajya to his elder wife Yashaswati's son 'Bharata' and Paudanapura to younger wife's son 'Gommata'. Then daughters ask to give some gift which remains permanently. Vrushabha Teerthankara envisions their Karma and decides to give the ultimate knowledge source to them. Then he makes his elder daughter "Brahmi" to sit on his left lap, from his right thumb on her left palm writes the 16 swaraksharas, 9 x 3 Hraswa, Deergha, Pluta Swaras = 27, 25 Vargeeya Vyanjanaaksharas, 8 Avargeeya Vyanjanaaksharas, 4 Ayogovaaha's; totally 64 Aksharas in Kannada Varnamaala and announces that this will be famous by her name "Brahmi". He blesses that for all the languages these are sufficient.

Another daughter named "Sundhari" was made to sit on his right lap, from his left thumb, on her right palm writes the Bindhu "0", dividing it by two diagonal bisectors, expands it to numerals from 1-9, recombines all to "0", integrates them to show it as "1". These numerals when written according to a special sequence, it is enough to count the atom and interatomic particles of this Universe. He says to Sundhari that these Numerals (Ankas) are also Aksharas. To avoid distinctions among the daughters he gives a proof that Brahmi's Aksharas are Sundhari's Ankas and vice versa. All groups of shabdas, individual Dwanis, converting individual Dwanis to Akshara Sanjnyas and creates the matrices of numerals called "Chakra Bandha" and recalls its name as "Samasta Shabdaagama Shastra".

This knowledge was known to Gommata but not to Bharata. For Kingdom, there was a clash between brothers which lead to 8 wars in which Gommata wins. But he gets Vairagya, enlightened by the Dharmic thought that ruling the elder brother's kingdom is Adharmic & doesn't suit to the pride of his family and leaves his whole kingdom to Bharata. Then Bharata also confesses for his mistakes and requests Gommata to enlighten him with Jnana. Mokshagaami Bahubali was sacrificial in nature. So he had already left 3 among 'Aahara, Abhaya, Bhaishajya & Shastra' and thought that let him gift the Shastra to Bharata. All these took place in the war field and there itself within approximately 46 minutes, Gommata creates this Numerical Poetry having ultimate knowledge. Encodes this in a chakra having 51025000 + 5000 = 51030000 Dalas, Ankas, Aksharas. This is also called as "Karana Sutra" in Jaina Puranas.

Gowtama Gunadhara first divides Bhuvalaya into 12 parts called "Dwadashanga Veda". Normally Jain Historians predict Mahaveera's age as 2479 B.C. So this can be at least 5000 years old, which validates the existence of Kannada before that.

It is there in the discussion that after Mahaveera, Buddha deva's rule and a person named "NiggaThanaata putta" and Bauddha Granthas prescribe him as 'Naatha Putra Mahaveera'. By the summery of a lot of discussions among historians and references from our Gurus from Naatha Parampara, I would predict that Jainism has evolved from Naatha Sampradaaya. Unlike now, Naathas were the pure followers of Veda. So a Natha Guru said to me that existing SiriBhuvalaya is just the outlier of the whole work. All are selfish enough to misuse it just for their worldly affairs and may lead to the destruction of the world. So most of the work has been lost inside the dimensions of Nature.

Kumudendu lived in Yalavalli near Bengaluru. Now the available copy of literature is from a place called Doddabele which is 20 Km from Yalavalli. It is in between Bengaluru-Tumkuru. There was a Vidwamsa named Dharanendra Pandit who read Bhuvalaya's shlokas just by reading the numerals. From Bhuvalaya he was explaining Vaidya, Jyotisha, Ganita, Loha Shastra, Anu Shastra, Tatva Shastra, Bhaasha Shastra, etc., to the people. Also installed a laboratory for the same in Bengaluru at that time. He died in 1918, after which his relative Sri Yellappa Shastry got the Bandara of Bhuvalaya. Even though he faced the problems of poverty, he fought for SiriBhuvalaya and made it famous among a lot of scholars, researchers and got appreciation from Rastrapati Sri Babu Rajendraprasad also. Sri Yellappa Shastry found decoding sequence in Kannada, Prakruta, Samskruta, Ardha Maagadhi, Paali, Shoora Seni, Laada, Telugu, Tamil, etc., So he is called as Gunadhara of Kumadendu Muni.

Importance of Siribhuvalaya as a Literature

Siribhuvalaya's system of "Ankaakshara Ganita" has the power to behold of all the languages encoded in it. In this Bhuvalaya kaavya, under 3 interlinked series of Prakruta, Samskruta, Kannada, all the other Bhaashas could be bound together like a garland that has the fragrance of all the Bhaasha named flowers; just in a thread named "Kannada". There emerge at least 718 Bhaashas from this. 

Sarvabhaashamayi Karmata mainly has "Karnaata, Maagadha, Maalava, Laata, Gowda, Gurjara" these 6 x 3 = 18 Main Bhaashas named "Brahmi, Yavana, Uparikaa, Varaatikaa, VajeeKassavikaa, Prabhaaraatrikaa, Ucchataarikaa, Pustikaa, Bhoogayavatta, Vedanatikaa, Nihantikaa, Anka, Ganita, Gaandarva, Adarsha, Maheshwari, Damaa, Bolidi". 

Among 718 Bhaashas under Karmaata, he lists so many languages like Prakruta, Samskruta, Dravida, Andra, Mahaarastra, Malayaala, Gurajara, Anga, Kalinga, Kaashmeera, Kaambhoja, Hammira, Shauraseni, Vaali, TEbati, Vangi, Vanga, Brahmi, Vijayaardha, Padma, Vaidarbhya, Vaishali, Saurastra, Kharostri, Nirostra, Apabhramshika, Paishachika, Raktaakshara, Arista, Ardhamaagadhi, etc., 

Also has "Arasa, Paarasa, Saaraswata, Baarasa, Vasha, Maalava, Laata, Gowda, Maagadha, Vihaara, Utkala, Kanyakubja, Varaaha, Vaisharamana, Vedaanta, Chitrakaara " and also vivid Bhaashas like "Yakshi, Raakshasi, Hamsa, Bhoota, Oohiyaa, Yavanaani, Turki, Dramila, Saindhava, MaalavaNeeya, Keeriya, Devanaagari, Laada, Paarashi, Amittika, Chaanaakya, Mooladevi etc., In a base 9 system of sequence of Kannada everything is encoded!!

SiriBhoovalaya's Bhaasha, Bandha & Chandas

Kumudendu quotes that he had started encoding words of Mahaveera in South-Northern or old & new styles of Kannada. A reference of the same has been made by his Shishya was Amoghavarsha Nrupatunga who is the author of "Kaviraaja Marga" noted to be oldest Kannada epic. He had taken all the care such that even though its made from Kannada, it spans all the languages. This Kavya with 'Taala, & Laya' commutes 6000 Sutras in 6 Lakh Shlokas.

Kumudendu uses a Chandas called "ChattaNa" (ChatuSthana) having 4 divisions usually found in Kannada as "Saangatyas". After 12th Adhyaya, he had used a variation called "BedanDe" having inner poetry series in the form of "Dandaka" which was used in Prose Literature before Nrupatunga. Also, experts say that it may have Tripadi Ragale" also.

Bandha is a particular series of encoding one subject inside the other. To impose these 718 Bhaashas inside Kannada, he uses several Bandhas. In Shreni Bandha it decodes in Kannada. If one reads these from top to bottom, it produces Prakruta Kavya. If read from 27th Akshara downwards, it gives Samskruta Kavya. Similarly, according to the viewpoint, it generates kavyas in different languages. Poet names some of the Bhandas like: "Chakra, Hamsa, Padma, Shuddha, Navamaaka, Vara Padma, Maha Padma, Dweepa, Saagara, Palya, Ambu, Sarasa, Shalaaka, Shreni, Anka, Loka, Romakupa, Krouncha, Mayura, Seemateeta, Kaamanapada Padma, NaKha, Seemateeta Lekhkha, etc., "

He also astonishes by saying that he had encoded whole Bagavadgeeta from old Bharata named JayaKhyana, which is assumed to be lost in modern times. A reference to the same reads as:
अथ व्यास मुनीन्द्रोपदिष्ट जयाख्यानान्तर्गत गीता द्वितीयोध्यायः ||
It is said that Geeta was said by Nemi to Krishna and then to Arjuna which has all philosophical formulas.

Existence of SiriBhoovalaya

There are different Agamas in Sanatana Bharatha. "ShatKhandaagama" is one among them. It is considered as the base of Jaina Agamas (84) as listed by Kumudendu. Summary of this agama is presented in SiriBhuvalaya. As for as the name is concerned, his place was "Yalava Bhu" reverse of which is Bhuvalaya. An available copy has 56 Adhayas. 1-64 numerals are coded for 64 letters of Kannada. Then all the numerals were filled according to a pattern in a 27 x 27 = 729 Celled matrix called Chakras. Out of 16000, 1270 chakras are remaining.

The work is, indeed, an encyclopedia in its own way. He who plans such an encyclopedia has first himself to be the treasure house of information and knowledge. He needs to be endowed with a computer like a brain. He must have the gift of a superb orderly mind. He has to be creative and needs the boon of a powerful imagination. And, even if the enterprising genius is adequately endowed in all these ways, what immense patience and effort do such a work demand! In terms of time, effort and energy, this must have been a most taxing endeavor. We feel both admiration and gratitude when we realize the magnitude and the complexity of the task that Kumudendu Muni undertook.

Kannadigas, I am not the marketing or advertising the book. It is really worth to have such a great epic in your personal library. Who knows, your child or grandchild or anyone blessed with great mind structure could Decipher it and unleash the knowledge to the world.

Akshara & Bhaasha Vijnana

An excerpt of word भाषा from the old Indian Etymology reads as "भवनात् रथैः एष एषेति भाषा". The language was born when there was a requirement to communicate one's feelings to other. Before that there was only 'संज्ञा', the non verbal or gestures. Due to various reasons the perfect gesture based communication medium became diluted. As the requirement to communicate with others grown, the tongue started uttering sounds, it gave rise to वैखरी. Language scientist has to think how VaiKhari gets the input?

Vedanta says आत्म as अक्षर, the one which won't perish. So it was said that 'Akshara' is the one and only 'Atma' in this world. It signifies the 'Aksharatwa' of Brahma, Hari & Hara also. Its मूल नाद, the basic vibration was discovered by Sages as ॐ. From Omkaara the 'Akshara' originates, thus preparing the 'VaiKhari'. Hence शब्द becomes supportive factor for the achievement of existence in this world.

So the ओंकार चेतन stands before any Akshara and creates a particular Akshara by its power of Naada. Then the feelings of all lives becomes enriched & everlasting (अक्षय). The root Naada exposes itself in the form of अ, आ, इ, ई etc., These are all the 16 स्वरम् - syllables or medium of expressing the Naada orginated from the प्रकृति. 

In pure Vaikhari there are 64 ध्वनि 's. Among those there are शुद्ध (pure) and अशुद्ध (impure) संज्ञा 's which becomes दीर्घ & ह्रस्व respectively. So an अकार becomes आकार, to give a shape to the life. Hence an organism is identified by its आकार. When you try to identify pure Akshara, you will get to know that the Swara is independent (स्वतन्त्र). It will be abide by the rule to show the root Omkaara Naada. So one should become prepared to feel an Akshara from Omkaara and in that to see the "Atma". This is the simplest Vidhya towards Atma Saakshatkaara as said by several sages in Veda.

According to this "अक्षर विध्य" all this prakruti is rotating in an अक्ष. There are limits with which it has to rotate. So it won't deviate from its path, hence becomes Akshara = immortal. Nobody has to instruct or insist it to rotate. Just it does its job. All the अणु ' s (not exactly Atoms) also rotate in this Aksha. So from microcosm (अणु) to macrocosm  (ब्रह्माण्ड) everything obeys the en-cycling the Aksha. So the ध्वनि of नाद also spirals' the Aksha. It becomes the Akshara.

There are 4 levels of sound production in body: परा, पश्यन्ती, मध्यमा, वैखरी. The energy of Omkaara produced from नाभि will be captured in very very minute nerves called वाघे. Flow of waves from VaGhe reaches Pashyanti where the decision will be made what type of wave has to be produced. Accordingly the instruction with its energy moves to Madhyamaa and gets a format (स्वरूप) for expression. It may be expressed directly from Madhyamaa or can be propagated to VaiKhari. Wave produced from Madhyama has enormous power & energy. So when a perfect and strong group of syllables like mantra emerges directly from Madhyama and propagates continuously; it will be immortal. Its frequency cannot be measured by the existing equipments. If the same wave is expressed from Tongue then it becomes Sound wave which is perishable.

So Akshara creates a Naada Bindu that encircles its root seed. It imbibes this Naada in Aksha and propagates continuously by encircling. So for continuous immortal movement of Naada is achieved by this and called as "साक्षर". From this the Bhaasha will be produced. From Bhaasha the VaiKhari gets designed. The व्याकरण (Grammar) is written only to this perishable sound from VaiKhari. Grammar is required just as a protocol of communication. The grammar which doesn't consider the root causes implanted on VaiKhari, is just a waste! So never say that only Samskrutam is perfect and all other Indian languages are at a level lower than Samskrutam.

VaiKhari is formed by Prakruti. i.e., Gene, Water, Food, Habits, Region, People, etc., all influence to prepare VaiKhari. This is called "Praa-krutha". Lot of languages originated just due to geographical and so many other reasons. Before 4000-5000 years the language count in India was exceeding 40,000. For Every 8-10 K.M. distance there was a variation in the language. So the Chakradhipati at that time finding it difficult to rule, initiated the language revolution and called Vidwat Sabha having experts from every language. Their intention was to give a common language platform that will ease the administration and education. So by selecting only the perfect roots (धातु) from several languages and giving a filtration (संस्कार) to all of them, created thousands of grammatical rules to make it fit under a common library. Due to perfection in creating a language by all the other languages it was called as संस्कृतम् | So excluding Veda, almost all the great epics like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Vedanagas, Upanishats were translated to Samskrutam. Till the time of Shankaracharya, all were knowing that Veda Bhaasha is not Samskrutam. Later due to the emphasis only on to learning the Samskrutam, remains of Veda Bhaasha became extinct. Then due to the influence of foreign invaders, Samskrutam also lost its values.

Some of the people started commentaries on Vedas and Smruthis in their own way. This gave rise to misinterpretations by just a mere Samskruta based grammatical analysis. Lot of examples of these kinds of misinterpretations by different people are there in Internet. They quote Vedas & Mahabharat to support their eating habits of Non Vegetarianism. But Vedas never speak a word of "Himsa"(Violence) of a minute organism. Not only these, some of the Purohits doing Maha Yagas, misinterpreted and offer animal sacrifices in Yagas, which is utterly nonsense according to Vedas, Sanatana Dharama & Yaga Sutras. They quote Manu Smruti saying about casteism, women rights etc., All these arise due to lack of proper schooling from vedic point of view.

So becoming साक्षर, one can grow above the level of Brahma or shrink beneath राक्षस (reverse of साक्षर). So there is a famous saying that teach 3 perfect letters of life to the child. He/She can become Mahatma.

#Pundarika Mahayaga

Moral virtues in Indian perspective has religion as its backbone. Vedic religion has been in vogue in our holy land - 'Karmabhoomi' from time immemorial. It has been the unshakable conviction of our people that we are blessed with copious rains, plentiful harvest by pleasing Gods through 'Yajna Yagas'. History registers the profound knowledge of noble sages who all the time performed such Yagas for the welfare of the whole mankind. But in this modern, scientific age there has been a listlessness towards religious duties and preference is given more to show and pomp in performing Pujas and Yagas. Hence the society is deprived of the blessings of the divine effects of the religious rites.

Despites the circumstances a commendable service in promoting 'Satkarma is being rendered by his Holiness Sri Sri Jagdguru Shankaracharya Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sharada Peethadeeshwara. Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharathitheeeertha Mahasannidhanam. To supplement his great efforts , leading an ascetic life on the model of the ancient 'Rishis' is Vedabrahma Sri K.S Nithyananda, Poorvothara Meemamsaka, Veda Vijnana Mandir, Chikmagalur. He is well versed in the Vedas, Upanishads and Shastra and is spreading ancient wisdom by performing 'Mahayagas'.

With the intention to do something to protect the religion and the culture of this country and for the welfare of the entire mankind Sri Gayathri Yajna Samithi, Haleangady under the Chairmanship of renowned Ayurveda Pandith Haleangady Sri Subraya Bhat ( Hari Bhat) performed Sri Gayathri Yajna in the 'Mesha Masa' i.e from 13.4.2002 to 14.5.2002, with the blessings of Sree Sree Sannidhannam of Sri Sringeri Mutt under the able guidance of Sri K.S. Nithyananda at Sree Jnanahakthi Subramanya Swami Temple premises at Pavanje, Haleangady. On the day of the 'Poornahuthi' of the 'Yaga' addressing the devotees at the religious meet at Pavanje Vedabrahma Nithyananda professed that the place would witness the birth of a reformer who would execute the all round development of the people and advised to conduct 'Sri Pundarika Mahayaga' at Pavanje .

The forthnight - long Sri Pundarika Mahayaga, performed to propitate the Gods, concluded at the Pavanje Sri Janashakthi Subramanya Temple Premises near Mangalore, with the final "poornahuti' held in the presences Yedaneeru Seer.

The Yaga, supposed to be held in Sangli, Maharastra in 1942, is being held for the first time in Dakshina Kannada after the gap of Six decades.
The Pre - Yaga vedic programmes commenced on December 4 and actual yaga started on December 11 under the supervision of Sringeri math seer Bharathi Theeertha and direction of Chikamagalur Vedavijnan mandir Vedabrahma K S Nithayanada

The yaga is one of the seven Mahayagas performed for "loka kalyan'. The other yagas are Ashvamedha, Rajasooya Vajepeya, Agnisthoma, Ilavritha and Atiratra.

According to learned, this yaga initiates the natural phenomenon of being one with the nature.
Though the nature is 'jada' when it is combined with chaitany the sensation in altogether different.

Nature of the Yaga: Inspiring intensive interaction between an inert 'Prakriti (Nature) and 'Chaitanya ' (vitality) and galvanising the blend of the two faculties is the aim of 'Mahayaga'. The process to cause this effect is to proffer the waves of incantation (Mantra Taranga) through 'Agni and thereby to provoke 'Vedic Tatwas' (concepts) like Indra and Agni to act benevolently. This process comprises of the four rites - Deeksha, Japa, Parayana and Tyaga.

Deeksha: It yields fruits for our 'Sadhana' (efforts). Deeksha means putting concentrated efforts on a goal till we accomplish it. Performing all the rites related to it in accordance with 'Shastras'.

Japa: Mere incantation of a 'Mantra' or 'Akshara' is not the 'Japa'. It is the comprehensive effect of constant pursuit of our goal, our commitment to it, our awareness to it and our frankness, devotion and attitude to perform without the desire of the returns.

Parayana : In 'Yagas' God is perceived in varying forms, Tatwas (concepts), through varying rites, yielding equally varying results. The knowledge to deal with such varients with proper approach is 'Parayana'. This itself becomes 'Tyaga' (denouncement). Those devotees are called 'parayanas' who perform rites with an attitude of 'Tyaga', with a purpose to achieve welfare of the society, by performing 'Japa' being bound by 'Deeksha'. Thus the complex process of dealing in these four stages envigorating 'Chaitanya' among those bound by 'Deeksha' is the 'Pundarika Mahayaga'.

The term 'Pundarika' also reminds the supporting principle of 'Vishnu'. Mythology describes Lord Vishnu as reclining on 'Adishesha' amid the 'Ksheerasagara', attended to by Goddess Laxmi and praised in melody by the sage Narada and others. The 'Ksheerasagara' is the nourishing force of life. 'Adishesha' in the middle of 'Ksheerasagara' represents instincts which are under Lord Vishnu's control. Goddess Laxmi symbolizes the poise of mind. Getting the blessings of Laxmi leads to 'Nadananda' (bliss of music). This together with the 'Astha Aiswarya' can be accomplished if one succeeds in controlling mind which grows on food. This means ' Vishnu is 'Prakriti and 'Palanakartha'. The Ayana or the search for this Nadabindu' i.e Nara becomes 'Narayana' - search for the eternal bliss. Hence the Pundarika Yaga becomes a religious process of blending 'Prakriti and 'Chaitanya' and by there ensuring finer, capable and efficient society.

The final days ceremonies were witnessed by Dr. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmastala. He was accompanied by Vinay Kumar Sorake, Udupi MP, Abhayachandra Jain, Moodabdri MLA and others.

On all days of the yaga from December 11, there were religious discourses.
